When we know that God desires for us to come to him, that gives us confidence to approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help us in the time of need. When we know that God welcomes us to ask from him, we knows that he is glad to grant our requests.

Because it centers us in the knowledge that he loves us and wants us to receive his best. Prayer becomes a primary means to experience his love.

Primarily, knowing this places us within his will. The act of prayer itself then becomes an element of obedience.

Jesus observed the relationship between parent and child. He illustrates by using this analogy; He asks them” if their child comes to them and asks for bread would give him a stone or if he asks for a fish give him a snake, then Jesus says that we being evil know how to give good gifts to your children how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!” So God says ask me don’t be afraid come expecting something.

It makes us rely on Him especially for things only he can do.
