Asking is an open invitation to get to know God.

It helps because we know there is someone who loves us unconditionally listening; and not just listening but answers in ways that enrich and elevates our lives

Knowing that he cares enough to have us ask ,gives us more confidence that he will answer. Like Jesus said if we being evil know how to give good gifts onto our children, how much more will he give good things to us.

It is a relief there is an someone out there who wants to listen to me. It allows the conversation to start.

All my life when I was raised in church I thought there were rituals you have to follow to get him to hear you and a certain way you had to act before he heard you and was told that God didn’t hear sinners…It conflicted me as to how you could be forgiven if He didn’t hear you. But one day I just began talking to Him like I would a friend so after this lesson it helped me to see that He was helping me all along by talking to Him and now I know He wants me to ask for help when I come to Him for help and that makes my heart glad and want to draw closer to Him.
