How does knowing that God wants us to ask help us when we come to Him?

By knowing that He is a loving Father and He is there to care for our every need whether large or small.

Knowing that God wants us to ask helps me when I come to Him because I know He really does care. He loves me enough to listen to my simple request for basic needs as well as big requests. He is not too busy. He desires a relationship with me.

Sometimes I feel selfish always asking for things, even though I do. But knowing that God wants us to ask frees me from feeling like a burden or a bother by asking for so much. I am still mindful that ultimately it is God’s will that I want for my life, but some days I need help discerning what God’s will even is!
