How does knowing that God wants us to ask help us when we come to Him?

Don’t be afraid, He’s always there to listen, He knows us more than we know ourselves, fret not.

God already nows what we need or want, he wants us to gain that relationship with Him to ask Him. By having this relationship with God, we are closer and can come to Him for anything we need. I look at this way, He is our father, and our father wants us to ask even though he already knows. Just like our biological father. They know what we want but we have to ask before they will actually help us.

It again reminds me that God has always desired to have a relationship with me, not just be my God

God loves us and want us to come to Him to bring our joys and pain to Him, He wants the relationship with us, and invites us to ask.
