Hinduism has a propensity to have multiple gods while Buddhism doesn’t really have any gods and the goal of Buddhism is a type of oneness

Hinduism sees God and universe as one eternal essence but do not believe in a trenscendend, infinite, eternal and personal God who relates to the universe as Creator and Sustainer. Buddhist also views God also as one but does not affirm God a creation event.

One of the most fundamental differences between Buddhism and Hinduism is their view regarding the existence of God. Hindus choose to worship numerous gods. Even though there are many gods in Hinduism, they are believed to all come from Brahman, the universal soul. Buddhists deny the existence of many gods. Instead, they believe in the existence of one god, but they do not believe it is necessary to seek god. Both believe that God and the universe are one.

Buddhism, like Hinduism, includes atheists at one end of the spectrum and theists at the other. The Theravada Buddhists, for example, openly reject the existence of a personal God. The Pure Land Buddhists, on the other hand, seem to have mingled some Christian ideas into their faith system and speak of God as a personal being. But they still seem to identify God with the universe. Hinduism sees God and the universe as one eternal essence. It is a diverse and complex religious system that includes everything from atheists to theists. But even Hindu theists, although sometimes speaking of the god Shiva as the sole creator and sustainer of the universe, do not believe in a transcendent, infinite, eternal, and personal God who relates to the universe as Creator and Sustainer.

They are both Pantheist they include atheist and theists followers, on one end of the spectrum there is no god but on the other end there is some acknowledgement of several deities. Buddhists believe that their deities cannot function outside of its spiritual universe, but Hindus give their deities lessor power, but they believe very little in a personal active creator. There is an array of different names which they identify with when it comes to God which makes both religions seem like a complexed anarchy.
