Hindus believe that Brahman – an eternal, infinite, and impersonal reality – is the source of all existence, and some extend this to say that the god Shiva carried out the creation act. Whereas Buddhists believe that the universe is made of spirit and has always existed.

The Hindu’s see God and the universe together as one essence. Theirs is a complex system that includes atheists and theists. But most Hindu’s look to Shiva as the sole creator and sustainer of the universe. The Hindu also talk of an infinite, eternal God in Brahman. They worship Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, and other lesser deities.
Like Hinduism, Buddhists identify God with the universe. They also do not have a creation story. Yet, neither God nor the universe can exist without the other. Jainism, Shintoism, and Taoism each have elements of pantheism and polytheism.

Hindus believe in many deities where the Buddhist believe in one God. The Buddhist neither know or seek God.
Both religious groups believe in God and the universe.

Hinduism has many gods that have personalities and traits. They are part of the universe. Buddhism doesn’t have gods. Just incorporates the universe with some sort of being as if the universe were it. Not separate.

Hindus believe in many gods. Also, they believe in reincarnation until enlightenment is met. Christians believe salvation comes through Jesus Christ, whereas Hindus believe their deeds help them reach enlightenment and end the cycle of reincarnation.
