Buddhists do not affirm a creation event while Hindus believe that God is “Creator and Sustainer” of the universe.

God and the universe are as one. does not speak of God as a personal being
Buddhist: Pure Land Buddhists, on the other hand, seem to have mingled some Christian ideas into their faith system and speak of God as a personal being.

The Hindu view of God does not differ much from the Buddhist’s view in that they both see God and the universe as one eternal entity and both religions include atheists and theists.

Hinduism and creation: According to my Hindu friends, we are all part of the Universe making us all a part of God. One of my Hindu friends told me that when we are born it is because there is something we must learn so we are placed in a corporeal body and when we die, we leave that body and again become a part of the Universe.
Buddhists and creation: My Buddhist friend who has just turned 80 believes that he has lived at least seven or eight lives and, as he is in poor health, he is hoping to die soon so that he can be given another life to live. Some Buddhists believe in a God who is combined with the Universe – some do not believe in a personal God. The Buddhists I know believe in reincarnation and that all life is important because even an insect may contain the soul of someone. -
Hinduism, unlike Buddhism in general, seems to allow for the possibility of a deity who creates and sustains creation.
