The fact that God created the heavens and the earth informs how I teach the origin of life. Knowing that Adam’s sin caused all mankind to be born into sin gives me a realistic expectation that my students are sinners and I shouldn’t be surprised when they sin. Experiencing new spiritual birth in Christ gives me hope that my students also can be transformed by Christ’s love. Being filled with the Holy Spirit gives me the power to bear fruit of the Spirit even toward difficult students. Confident in the soon return of Christ, I can encourage my students that all will be made right and injustice will be punished and destroyed. A biblical worldview is the strong framework around which we can build educated and godly students.

My faith in Jesus Christ is my shapes my perspective on life, which is based upon by belief in the Bible.

When I hear students emulating my mannerisms, words, actions, it is always a powerful moment. I realize that I wield such power in the time that I have them, and it is important to be rooted in a biblical worldview!
