I think that if I am a teacher today, is because God guided me in this vocation of helping and educate other children and young minds for the future.
The strong love and believe that I have for God and Jesus help me to be a very good Christian role model for my students in school and also in life. -
As a follower of Christ, teaching is an outlet to be a light to those in my classroom to pursue Christ or discover Him for the very first time through our interactions and discussions. It also challenges me to be a math teacher who has biblical integration in their classroom.

It allows me to seek God in everything that I do including how I educate my students. He is present with us and in everything that we do including our conversations. He so evidently led me through every lesson during Covid, trying to teach Art on Zoom. I actually enjoyed it and I think it was infectious for the students. I was amazed at the ideas God gave me as I sought his guides and direction. I encouraged and filled my students with as much wisdom about both God and Art as I could. It as truly a blessing and I was able to pass that on.

I am a child of God no matter what day, what place, or who I am with. As a child of God my Biblical worldview goes with me and flows out me. As I study Scripture and literature, my wisdom, knowledge, and understanding grows which I then pass along to my students.

When I remember that all of my students are God’s creation despite any frustrating behavior they may exhibit, I will treat them with respect. I will view them as “clay” that God wants to mold in order to become more like Him. I am to work alongside Christ, helping my students to be sculpted into a beautiful piece of art. I am making disciples and therefore spreading the gospel through my students. I will remind them consistently that God wants to use them to make a difference in His kingdom.
