My biblical world is affects my role as an educator because I put God in everything we do. It is always important to tie it back to God.

I try my best everyday to show my students my biblical worldview. I tell them that God created everything and we should honor and glorify him. We learn scriptures that apply to our lives. In my personal life knowing scripture has helped me in situations where I need guidance, comfort, etc. God has a plan for us and He puts us where we need to be.

I bring my worldview into everything I do. All of us bring that worldview into the classroom at every moment, even when not teaching Scripture explicitly. We are living that worldview in front of our students and bringing it into every interaction that we have–even down to our energy level and enthusiasm for what we do and each other.

My biblical worldview is the lense from which I view the world and therefore how I share about the world and our role in it. It is our job to help the students understand that our world is God’s creation and we were made in His image. Whatever we do, we should do it unto the Lord so that we can go out into the world and preach the gospel to all nations! Whether this is at our school, at our job, in our neighborhood or on the sports team, we are called to remind the students of who they are in Christ so that they can be the light of the world in dark places as they begin their lives.

My biblical worldview influences every aspect of my life, including my role as a Christian educator. I view my role as a teacher at a Christian school as my ministry. I am ministering to families who desire an education for their children that is based on a Biblical worldview. This is a hefty responsibility. It is imperative that I am continually growing in my knowledge and love for the Lord, so that God gives me the wisdom needed to influence my students in the ways of the Lord. This includes every decision I make, from lesson planning, to classroom management, to discipline, etc.
