The question that I ask myself is, “Does what I am doing introduce the student to Jesus in whatever I am teaching?” This is my central concern. It is not about me. When I do some talking that draws attention to myself, problems arise. I am flooded with personal questions from the students. I question what I said and wonder if it could be taken in a wrong way. I wonder what their impression of me is. I do worry about how taking the focus off the subject and placing it on me has taken things down a negative path. When I stay centered on Christ, then the day goes much better and it is more productive. Jesus must be our focus at all times.

I believe that God is the creator of this universe, and my life is in his hands. Knowing his authority, I value my job in teaching students. Since I value my job highly, I do my tasks seriously with diligence. Consequently, the students take their tasks seriously since it is an opportunity given my God. It’s all from God and about God.

Not teaching currently. But Christ in my life is what brought me to the Christian school. I thoroughly enjoy teaching Bible and the discussions about Scripture that we shared as a class. And, always in mind was how my actions and attitudes would influence for good or bad. Eyes always watching.

My biblical worldview affects how I handle situations. I work with students that have learning difficulties. Students can feel overwhelmed and frustrated when a lesson is not easy or they are not able to hold on to the information long enough to process and respond appropriately. I always reassure them that they are perfect in God’s eyes and that it’s okay to make mistakes. We pray together for patience and for them to gain new knowledge and connections from their mistakes.
