Deleted User07/10/2022 at 01:04We know that every person is born sinful with selfish motives, both teachers and students. So I am not surprised when a student acts out that selfishness. I can respond very calmly with compassion to the student who needs to be guided toward wise choices that would benefit himself long term. I also can use that selfishness as a tool for competition to get the best grade.

Deleted User07/07/2022 at 16:49Mankind’s fallen nature reminds me that all of my students are works in progress just like me. It allows me to view them as God’s image bearers and make the most of these teachable moments. I remind them that God never gives up on any of us, so I would never give up on them. I also pray for my students that they will draw closer to the Lord and learn through their mistakes.

Deleted User07/05/2022 at 21:53We need to understand that all have fallen. Sometimes I will forget this, but we all need to remember that all of our students are fallen, and have a sin nature. This will help as we decide how to deal with discipline issues that arise, and they will arise!
