Our understanding of mankind’s nature informs the way we see our students. We value them as individuals who were made in the image of God, we are not surprised when they sin (given their fallen nature), and when they sin, we offer a path toward forgiveness and repentance, just as Christ did for us.

I think that recognizing any of the missteps a student takes can be met with grace and understanding that this is not what honors the Lord.

Because of mankind’s fallen nature, I realize that everyone is a sinner and is tempted to sin. Because our courses are online, the parents must partner with the teachers in helping our students grow to be wise, honest, intelligent, responsible, mature learners.

I teach my students that we all sin, that we are not “good” but “just”, but God sees us with a forgiving heart, we always have to ask for forgiveness and appeal to his son Christ.

Our fallen nature is very important to teach our students. They need to know they are created in God’s image but also, we are fallen creatures. Not a one of us can live a perfect life. No matter ow hard we try to live a good life, we cannot be good enough. We are all in need of a Savior, and our Savior and Redeemer is Jesus Christ our Lord.
