This was a good reminder that the roots of education came from a desire to read and understand God’s Word; it is also a reminder to plan for daily Biblical integration into the curriculum.

I have always known the education system of the US is influenced by the needs of the US worldview agenda is. By understanding this, you don’t fall into what the States need, but what the student need to become healthy adults with a Jesus-centered life.

Through this lesson, I have learned that curriculum orientation embodies what a society values, so having a better understanding of the root of the educational system motivates me to not only follow the state standard required but also be consistent with a biblical worldview with the lessons I teach.

It causes me to reflect upon our processes and to evaluate what is best.

I know that teachers are required to follow state standards and that they have a curriculum that they are asked to follow. I know that over time, many things have been taken out of public schools, like pray. I am grateful to be able to teach at a school that allows the truth of the Bible to be stressed in classrooms everyday. I am glad that we are able to promote the fact that we are all created in the image of God and we are the representation of Him in all that we do.
