How does your understanding of the roots of the educational system in the US influence your view of education?

I hadn’t thought much about the educational system being a way of indoctrinating. It’s interesting and makes me more passionate about Christian education.

The roots of education in the US was more focused on the Bible and mastery of academic subjects. Now the US education in secularized and more focused of standardized testing. God is out of the schools and discipline, self responsibility, teachings of Christ, and academic high expectations have gone as well, leaving students lacking.

Our educational system was originally founded on a knowledge of God and developed and expressed freely from that. Over time, this educational system became secularized and disassociated with any type of Biblical knowledge

The roots of education clearly show that religion was the foundation of education. This influences my view in a way that acknowledges that religion was important in education.

The roots of education are important to know how the United States education system was founded on God from the very beginning. Christian schools are continuing keeping God as the foundation and passing the baton to each generation.
