I feel kind of lucky here because I was saved later in life and have attended a few different types of church

I don’t think I have been influenced by a specific denomination but rather the universal theological framework that God calls people (in various seasons of their lives) for the purpose of redeeming them to himself so that they can help others be redeemed through varying means. Growing up in and attending a variety of congregations has taught me that calling isn’t “one thing” or a one time destination but rather it is something that continues to evolve and deepen

From my youth I knew God had a calling on my life. Hence, Sunday School and church attendance aided by the Holy Spirit within the Baptist denomination helped shape my worldview of God and His unique calling on my life.

I wrestle with this. I was raised Roman Catholic, but have found a home in a small Anglican church, so the traditions of these churches to “holy orders” is my first understanding of a calling. My understanding of calling is changing to include non-ordained callings.

It has been unbalanced in some areas and very helpful in others.
