To fill or to soak by definition. So, we are to fill our curriculum with the word as our foundation as well as the word over all that we teach. In doing this, our lessons and curriculum are infused with the word of God and the wisdom contained within.

Dr. Black uses the word “infuse” regarding biblical integration as a picture of the Word of God being a part of everything, mixed in so thoroughly that it can not be separated. She used the example of her grandson being a quarter Persian, and how that is infused in all of who he is, not separate.

To “infuse” means to permeate or instill something throughout, which aligns with integrating biblical principles into all aspects of teaching and learning. By infusing biblical principles into education, we aim to create an environment where students can see and understand the world through a biblical lens, impacting their thinking, behavior, and decision-making fully.

Infuse means to fill or to soak. Our lives should be filled and soaked with the Word of God. God should infuse every part of our lives. With biblical integration, we strive to infuse the Word of God into the lives of the children we teach.

God’s word is woven into every piece of the curriculum. Biblical integration means that Scripture is the foundation on which all of the lessons are based on, and it is completely entwined into every lesson.
