How might you use what you learned in this lesson in your school/classroom?

One must make sure the students are learning material that will benefit them in the long run for life and not just to get a quick A. We need to pay attention to standards, but never at the expense or teaching and nurturing the minds and hearts of our students with the Word of God.

I think this speaks to the fact that we need to really focus on what our students God-given talents might be and be able to really individualize our lessons according to what that might be for each student.

I want to mix traditional and mastery. To have my students know what the scriptures say and the importance of it in their lives, but also be able to master it as a curriculum so as to show themselves approved through the study of the Bible.

I believe everything of Christ should have a standard. As believers we have a standard of Christian living that exemplifies that we are separate from the world. In the same way our classroom should have standards of conduct that helps guide students to meet the same standards of Christian living that we are called to.

The purpose of a rubric is to assess student performance against stated expectations. Therefore, if I regularly include an integration component into my rubric, I can teach my students to infuse biblical thinking and considerations into their academic work. I can add connections to biblical ideas/themes/principles to writing assignment rubrics.
