I am a little confused about how this practically applies to the classroom and the differences between the two. Perhaps it will become clearer with the next lesson.

I am taking a little of each orientation and applying aspects that I deem necessary to help students find their personal best. It is hard when I am studying to be in special education because many of these traditional orientations that are commonly accepted are not always going to work for the students I may be working with. I have to learn many ways of approaching curriculum and take aspects of each that will help the needs that my students have. I can see benefits in all methods and I see disadvantages in all methods. This is one area where we can pick and choose what will work best for the students we work with.

I will continue to make sure I am striving for mastery of the content with my students with both Bible and general education courses. There is always room for growth, and mastery allows that room but also demonstrates the student has a sufficient understanding of the material to utilize it in their life.

I am curious to hear the other ways of learning. I definitely tend toward the process/mastery style in my classroom.

To be honest, this was not a good lesson. The transitions were unclear, the main point was vague and the details felt random and concurrent. I don’t feel like I will use much from this lesson.
