I want my students to know that literacy was not taken lightly, and that the bible was the driving force that helped so many recognize their freedom in Christ…. It’s important for them to know that a good education when coupled with God’s Word will equip them for trials they will face in everyday life. They have a valuable manual at their disposal that many people didn’t readily have hundreds of years ago.

I would also use it to reflect upon my teaching style and see what I am seeking to accomplish. Finally, it would allow me to reflect upon the standards that my school has a see how that compares to the standards of the state.

I look at what my grandmother learned in just a high school education and I am very disappointed by how the standards have been lowered to what is taught now. She had a much greater understanding of the Bible and morals and family values that our students do not get and her penmanship was amazing. I wish that our students had half of what she did.
