I think that teaching at a Christian school enables me to emphasize the value of being able to read and being able to read God’s word. That is of primary importance.

My classroom incorporates some traditional but more process/mastery strategies, but no matter which strategy I use, the purpose should be to incorporate the Bible into all that is taught.
-
I need to remember that curriculum orientations provide a framework for education. Still, my responsibility is to ensure that my curriculum reflects a biblical perspective and prepares students to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all they do.

It will help me to more closely examine curriculum choices that are placed before me, to examine if they follow more of a traditional or process/mastery orientation.
After watching the first 8 lessons of the Biblical Integration coursework I am becoming much more sensitive. I will be cognizant to make sure that I don’t stray away from the important tenets of presenting the full Gospel message. I will make sure to thread it carefully and frequently throughout our day to day coursework.

What I really enjoyed about this lesson is the fact we need to connect our lessons to scripture. I enjoy teaching English because it is so easy to make biblical connections with the literature we read.
