How might you use what you learned in this lesson in your school/classroom?

I think universal standard are a good thing because it sets a tone for the whole school. Something the the whole school is striving toward, but not targeted toward one specific student.

Teaching students to have a biblical foundation in their thinking.

I think I will try to find a balance of standards that must be mastered and education for life skills ans fulfilling God’s purpose for each student.

I try to remind my students and myself that it’s not all about mastery, although that is our focus on high school.

I think knowing what is required of you by the state (as an example) is important. But it is also important to work within those lines in the freedom to serve your particular set of students. Know what the aim is and use the tactics that serve your kids best.
