How will the concepts discussed in this lesson impact your teaching?

The concepts discussed in this lesson have given me a deeper understanding/perspective on the big picture of my focus when teaching. I want to continuously have the mindset of what I am preparing my students for….their calling here on Earth and preparing them for eternity.

These concepts will help me teach my students to continue to listen to God through their “Chair time”. Find out what it is that God is wanting them to do to enhance his kingdom. I can teach redemption as well as show redemption in the classroom for their understanding.

I believe it is important for students to develop skills to listen for God’s calling in their life and it is important for a teacher to help teach them those skills. I would like to try incorporating lessons learning how to pray about God’s calling and and then listening for what He may be speaking to them.

I will incorporate learning Scripture in my classroom. I will continue to demonstrate redemptive actions like starting over. I will focus more of my lessons on Scripture about music.

I like the idea of purposely and proactively adding to the lesson plan opportunities to encourage students to find their calling. I would like to give them activities that would encourage hearing God’s voice and learn to be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading and prompting when it comes to life decisions.
