It will be a central part of my curriculum planning–an essential question worth exploring over a student’s time in my school.

This lesson has been my favorite so far in this series, because Ms. Black spoke of redeeming the bad days, tearing up the poor results on the quiz, going out to play when the room is chaos, and then restarting. She also speaks of the unknow days left of our lives and how we can best use the moments given. I just buried my mother last week, and as she speaks about her mom I am glad that she listens and takes account of what she has to say in her later years. We truly do not know what God has in store for us around the corner of that Bible, so stay close!

My lessons matter since it plays a role in guiding students to find out their calling from God.

When we encourage students to change their mindset from living on Earth to preparing for Heaven, they begin to change their disposition and priorities. They become a more engaged, thoughtful, and receptive student, because the lesson is focused on a permanent Heavenly goal verses a temporary life lesson that will be shorter on Earth.

I loved Dr. Black’s comments on starting over if we have a bad day or the class did badly on a quiz. She suggested ripping up the paper and giving a cheer. I would not have thought of this. We have, however, taken an outdoor break.
