How would you respond to someone who says that Jesus Christ was a wonderful teacher but nothing more?

If someone told me that Jesus is a wonderful teacher but nothing more I would show them several Bible verses where they talk about Jesus being our savior, all his accomplishments and sacrifices, etc. He is the truth and the life.

If someone told me that Jesus was a wonderful teacher and nothing more. I would find the scriptures and point out to them in a loving kind manner that Jesus is the one true God and the savior of the world. He came to save everyone from their sins.

The Word of God is infallible, and He says, “…I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God…”I would use the word to explain that He is not a mere teacher, He is God.

If someone said that Jesus Christ was nothing more than a wonderful teacher I would listen to what they had to say, then direct them to scripture. The teachings of Jesus Christ are in line with the prophecies and his miracles and knowledge stem from the truth that He is the son of God. Supporting these truths with biblical facts aids in the argument and solidification of the truth.

I would lovingly encourage them to read the Bible. Jesus Christ IS indeed the Son of God, and I know this by personal witness of my life. I would share my personal testimony.
