How would you respond to someone who says that Jesus Christ was a wonderful teacher but nothing more?

If he was just a wonderful teacher than his teaching make no sense, he would be crazy! He is a wonderful teacher, but also the Son of God.

Christ proved that he was more than just a “wonderful teacher” with the many miracles that he performed while he was on earth. Jesus was fully God and fully man and came to earth for our salvation.

Jesus was not just a wise man and amazing human teacher. Jesus is the son of God fully man and fully God. Jesus is part of the Trinity. Jesus claimed over and over that He came to do the will of His Father. We find evidence of this in 1 John 5:7.

People would not die for a wonderful teacher, but all of Christ’s disciples died horrible deaths because they continued to say Jesus was God’s Son. Jesus did too many miracles and wonders to simply be a nice teacher. Jesus Himself claimed to be God, so he was either God or He was a liar.
