Identify one or two practical ways you can help prepare your students for the struggles they’ll face in the world.

First of all, I believe that having conversations that are age appropriate about real life struggles will help prepare my students for struggles they will face in the world. Probably more importantly, I want them to know that our Father loves them, wants to have a relationship with them and will help them with the struggles that they will face. Nothing is a surprise to God and there is nothing that He can’t do.

I think the best way to prepare my students for the struggles that they will face in life is to be honest with them. Honest with them about things they will face in life and how to use the Bible to help them navigate these struggles.

Be honest about your own struggles and support them with love, prayers and Scriptures when they are going through hard times. Remind them of people in the Bible who went through hard times but were sustained and carried through by God.

The first thing I can do is share my current struggles or struggles I have faced in the past and how I deal/dealt with them thanks to having Jesus in my heart. I can encourage them to share their struggles and help them find the best solution. Also remind them the power of prayer.

I can be honest with about students about struggles that I have faced and do face to normalize that people will go through difficult experiences and doubt. This will help students realize they don’t need to pretend they have it all together or understand everything when they face difficulties in the future.
