Teach the biblical truth and help them understand the scripture so that they can be responsible in the image of God. Let them know that God is always walking with them and if they truly believe in God then they will be able to face any struggles they may meet.

The teaching of the word of God and mentoring them is what I am used to. Praying with them and trusting God has also been helpful.

1) Teach the biblical truth that we will have hardship and why. Students need to prepare for struggles and they need to know that it is normative. 2) Work through struggles with students and while doing so, appropriately share that as teachers we struggle as well. We are overcomers not avoiders.

It is our job as educators to teach our students to be good people. I want students to be able to talk to me about problems but also teach them about real life scenarios that they may face as adults. The world is a scary place and I always want my students to feel equipped when they go out on their own.

Have sharing sessions in my classroom, where my students can share their struggles and experience so others can be blessed and encouraged. Remind my students of the different scriptures that will encourage them of God’s promise to be there for them in times of trouble.
