One way that I like to use to prepare my students for challenges that they will face is that I share the story: about a mountain climber that if you go straight up the mountain you never see all of its glory. If takes The mountain climber no time. But The mountain climber has no challenges and you learn nothing , and see sees nothing and ask God for no help . He just go straight. But when The mountain climber travel around the mountain going through different areas to reach his destination. The mountain climber comes upon curves and bends that he wasn’t prepared for but through each one of those curves he looks to the Lord for guidance he asked for help and he learns and he sees amazing things. When he gets to the top of the mountain he can look back and see I had tons of challenges but each challenge brought me closer to the Lord and what the Lord has for me. That being said I believe we need to teach her students using the Bible to show them that God has not promised us an easy path but he has promise to always be by our side and that God has plans for us no matter what direction they come from.

Allowing the students to ask questions and to use critical thinking will help prepare them.

Fiction is a useful tool for examining struggles common to human beings. As students identify the solutions posed by authors, it’s imperative to direct them to scripture to find what God says about how to handle challenges.

Be honest, encourage the pursuit of truth and exhort them to have integrity and honour. Biblical integration helps students see the practical, embraceable side of the Word as well as their hope. It isn’t afar off, it is right here and right now, just ask Jesus and He will answer, but be prepared because the answers don’t always come the way we expect. The students should know how to use a concordance, to search out the Word and understand how it applies. Creation Ministries International, Answers In Genesis, and the Institute for Creation Research are phenomenal tools no matter what country one is in and being able to show students where to find reliable tools for research and for apologetics is so helpful.

Speak truth into their lives. Help them to use critical thinking and tact.
