Reminding them to always look at scripture. To be honest, I like to share with students some of the struggles that I have faced and how I have turned to God and his word to see me through it. It reminds them that even people in authority over them have faced this stuff. However, they too can lean on God.

I can encourage my students and model for them in the classroom what it looks like to practice spiritual disciplines in their walk with Jesus. Following Jesus is hard, and it takes effort. There is so much out there that seeks to take our eyes off of Jesus. Having a steadfast prayer life where you are regularly communing with the Father and reading God’s word every day are two incredibly important ways to stay rooted in the way of Jesus and have the strength to stand against the challenges they will face.

One practical way to help prepare students is through continual mentorship and discipleship. Students need a person that can affirm encourage and provide wisdom in all seasons. Someone that can lead them back to God in all situations.

I can help prepare students by teaching them to rely on prayer and scripture for guidance and by fostering resilience through discussions on facing challenges with faith and perseverance.

As a Christian teacher, I can help prepare my students for their struggles by teaching them to rely on their faith in God through prayer and Scripture, reminding them that they are never alone in their challenges.
