Many students nowadays experience many forms of anxiety. I wish to be more proactive in my response and understand the triggers for them

Some practices I could implement to further nurture my students, would be to eat lunch with them. Also make it a point to say goodbye to each of my students when they leave for the day.

Make myself available was very difficult to do my first year of teaching. However, I feel much more prepared this year to carve out time where students can come and talk to me if they ever have a question or concern. Another practice I would love to implement more is talking with misbehaving students regularly about behavior. Rather than simply call students out and discipline them in the middle of course, I would prefer to chat with these students before or after course on a regular basis to give them friendly reminders.

I plan to make myself available to students one on one if they so choose to. Especially the middle and high schoolers. Since the elementary have lunch in the gym, I will use that time to sit with them and eat occasionally to get to know them more
