Identify one or two practices you could implement to further nurture your students.

I could show up at their extracurricular activities more to cheer them on. I could also eat lunch with them more on a weekly basis.

I believe the pruning practice would be one I could implement to further nurture my students. I have seen students do so many after school activities that when they get home all they have time for is dinner, homework, and to get ready for bed. I am still a fairly new teacher, so I have been hesitant to reach out to students and parents about these issues, but now I understand the importance of doing so a lot more.

One practice I can continue to implement is allowing my room to be a safe haven for the students to be able to ask questions, grow in maturity, so they can be able to come into their God ordained fruition in Him- spiritually, mentally/emotionally, academically, socially, and occupationally. I refuse to let them become callous learners on my watch.

Intentionally adding time at the end of course.
Using students names during class- I do this already but know that there is a lot of power hearing your name. I would like to be more intentional about this. -
