Identify one or two practices you could implement to further nurture your students.

I manage study hall. I could try reaching out more to the kids to see if they have questions on their assignments. I could work harder to make sure I keep up with discipline in the classroom when needed.

Spending more time with them between classes and at lunch would be a positive step. Acknowledging positive changes in behavior is also something I need to implement more.

It takes me a while to learn names. I could do better at this. Also, I could take more time at the end to build them up more.

I think having one on one time with each student at least weekly. I also think teaching them more social emotional skills.

I could implement a practice where I give students that are acting out, a moment to regather themself outside the classroom. Afterwards, I can speak to them clearly and share expectations of the class in a gentle and firm way.
