I will continue to build relationships with students by taking the time to listen to them.

Provide a time to where they can talk with me.

One way is having an open space for students to come get help in a more personal setting, or even have a place to just decompress. I like helping students work through corrections on their assessments one on one, or in small groups, to really help them with the things they are struggling with.

I have colleagues who offer office hours outside of course time, and I can see that this would be beneficial for students who just need to talk. I also like the idea of offering a genius hour once a week, giving students the opportunity to explore and discover new things.

I think creating a routine of one on one time with my students would be beneficial for all. Also fining a way to create a better classroom environment for all students especially a new student who has been struggling to fit in.
