I feel that I could be more consistent with my discipline. I also feel that I could be more consistent with praying for my students and their families.

More field trips that offer one-on-one time. Allow more tutoring sessions.

I could rotate having lunch with some groups of students in my classroom.
We could play a game while we do that.
A Bible study open to girls. -
Spend time with them outside the courses, watch the game, join the student activities. Being involved with them and show them that we really want to get to know them personally and not just academically, ask them about their families, their hobbies, their dogs. I think building a relationship is nurturing.

Our high school students eat literally right around the corner from us. We can hear them from where we eat. It would not be hard to eat in the cafe with them a couple of days a week. I think sometimes we believe our students get tired of us, especially within small school when we see each other all the time. We might think our students need time just together without us. Something I have noticed though, if I walk through the cafe I always get pulled aside by a student for a quick chat or fun conversation. They enjoy spending time with us outside of academia. We need to remember that.
