One practice from the video that I liked was offering challenging extra credit questions on the exams. I have had students in the past who would have loved this and really thrived with it.

I would like to create a test like one of your professors that made a test that you could make 110 points. You could go beyond 100 by answering advanced question. I would love to implement that in my course to challenge the more musically inclined students.

To further nurture my students I would consider eating lunch with partners and get to talk to them in a more casual manner. I am also looking forward to scheduling field trips off campus to make some special memories and excursions with the students in a different setting. Again, the current unknown situation with the pandemic has made educators think outside of the box. I have had live zoom reading sessions with students. Students have video recorded show and tell items, pets, or activities and sent them to me via email to be shared with the course on the classroom projector, so even though they cannot bring their physical items to school, we have found a different way to have show and tell and practice our public speaking.
Nurturing students can take on many forms and is not always the same for each child or group of children. There are social, emotional, family life situations, and physical limitations that certain students may have struggles with that require modification or restructuring the environment to best suit individual needs. There is no set answer and we should be willing to grow and change as our students needs are revealed to us.
