    I really like gathering local news or literature and asking students to identify world views or Biblical world views. Ask students how might this article be deceiving. Ask in what ways does this relate to the Bible? What does scripture say about this view. I love making the truth in God’s Word applicable to everything around my students, in their studies, their personal lives and in the world.

    While delving into the materials for the subject being studied, students can discuss with the teacher what the Word says about these things and why others in the world might think that belief is hateful or dangerous. The teacher can share how he/she has been attacked or treated by the world for standing for those truths.

    In preparing new classroom decor for the up coming school year, I recently found a door wrap cover with an image and breakdown of Ephesians 6:10-18; “The Whole Armour of God. This full door cover will be up all year, and I will be integrating the concept and Scripture throughout the year. This will help ground the students and God’s word and prepare them for attacks.

    As a science teacher who teaches evolution, I start my base with God as the Creator and present the evidence, giving students the freedom to explore. We still cover what evolutionists teach according to the worldview. But I also show holes in their arguments and show evidence that demonstrates God. By doing so I’m equipping students to know and be able to defend their beliefs in an intelligent, scientific way.

    Being a safe space for them to ask questions. Letting them know that questions are healthy.
