Reading, discussing and memorizing Scriptures – while using them to frame the core of our faith “loving the LORD with all of your heart, mind and soul and also loving your neighbor as yourself.”

Teaching the elements of prayer for salvation, sanctity of relationship (both Heavenly & humanitarian) as well as for spiritual growth, development and protection.

I help students prepare for attacks by memorizing verses. I like to tell them to write the scriptures on their heart for when they need it. Also, cultivating an environment of prayer encourages students to pray when they feel attacked. We talk about having the amor of God to protect against attacks.

Prayer is the primary defense against attack. Corporate prayer, individual prayer, family prayer. Teaching students how to truly pray themselves without depending on others. Additionally, teaching students to know Scripture and think critically about its application is vital. If students have not exercised their muscle of discernment, they will not be equipped for the attacks that will come their way outside of the safety of school and of the home.

I can have the students memorize scripture and talk about why it is so important to know it. We can have discussions about life and they are going to face situations with a biblical mindset.

I can make sure that my students are reading scripture and us discussing it so that they understand what they are reading. I need to allow them to ask questions and to have an open, honest discussion surrounding those questions. I need to emphasize the importance of memorizing scripture so that it is hidden in their hearts and can be comforting in times of attack.
