4) Remain rooted in Jesus, both in knowledge and in practice. That way, growth will occur and protection from false teachers will be provided. -
By teaching them the importance of apologetics. They must know what they believe if they are to defend it against the philosophies of the world.

I teach Middle School Bible, and i try to implement am apologetics element into our course time every week. This takes a variety of different forms, but all have the purpose of encouraging our students as they pursue Jesus. Here are some things that I have done that have been helpful:
(1). On a Quiz or Test we use current events as our bonus questions. We then discuss those events from a Christian Worldview. If one of the events was a natural disaster, it gives us the chance to discuss the problem of evil, etc…
(2). The Monday after big cultural events like the Oscars or the Super Bowl we discuss them in course. We note the “highlights” and see what we can gather about the world’s system of belief or priorities. We then contrast that with our worldview.
(3). When discussing Old Testament books especially, i reference archeological and historical evidence for their reliability. We show pictures of artifacts and other archeological evidence.
(4). When discussing Biblical inerrancy, we participate in a Text Criticism assignment that helps show how we can trust the manuscript evidence for the Bible. -
Prepare them with the foundation of the Word, which will not turn void. That is their source. And how to be steadfast in prayer.

One way to be prepared for attacks against our christian faith is to read and study the word. The Bible is the word of God, it will give us focus and it will increase our faith and dependance of Him. Also, we should memorize his word. When temptation comes, when we need a word of encouragement, or to feel closer to God. The word will be engraved in us, and the holy spirit will use it.
