Regular scripture memory is important and I use regular verse memory quizzes in my courses. Additionally, I usually take at least one course period a week to discuss some assertions and questions about the real world challenges my students face. This allows us to ask and answer those questions by asking, “what does the Bible say about this?”

One way to prepare students is to look at hard topics and refute them using Scripture. Helping the students find why these attacks are not biblical and what Gods word says in defense is the first step in helping them put on the full armor of God.Knowing why they believe what they believe will help them defend their faith.

First of all, we can let them know that they will experience attacks on their faith. Also, help them to see that the attacks can be subtle. We see them in tv, in commercials, in film, on social media etc. We don’t even realize they are attacks on our faith, but they sneak in and can cause us to doubt. I love the idea of bringing in examples and having students identify the deceptions and attacks so they can be more prepared to deal with them when they come.

In Jn 10:9 letting them know that they don’t need to hide Jesus because of others view. Let them know that they have a direct conversation with Jesus, though they hear or are told they need to sway. All they need to do is turn to Jesus on any situation immediately. Do role play on world view to show the pain it causes. Then doing it God’s way. I remember my high school Pastor Jim, did that with us. Sure, helped us to sort out as we went.
Stand firm and ask God to guide them. Listen to them. Let them know they do not need to be ashamed of their Christian faith and let them know others with world view are also learning and we need to be a light to those who are confused.
1. Stay positioned in Christ
2. Do not sway from the biblical teachings. -
I teach them to read the word. To seek answers in their Bibles first. I allow them to discuss hard questions and look for answers.
