You can help them prepare my using daily spiritual disciplines such as the study of scripture and mediation. Secondly, you can share appropriate personal example of things you have dealt with in the past or things you are currently dealing. Keeping in mind that appropriateness will change from age to age or course to course.

Preparing students for attacks on their Christian Faith is fundamental when mentoring young believers. They need to know the scripture. Memorize the Gospel scriptures and be prepared to tell people that you will need to look up the information and would like to talk to them after they find the answer in God’s Word. Do Not argue, be peaceable but do not deny your faith or Biblical World View. I would also prepare my students by role playing difficult situations. Encourage them to pray for Gods wisdom, allow the other person to talk and as you listen to them, formulate a God honoring answer, and if you do not know the answer, I would teach them to be ready to ask a mentor for help in answering the tough questions that they may face. Always pray and do not be alarmed when you are attacked. Be prepared, not scared.
