In analyzing a biblical worldview, which distinctive would be most compelling to your non-Christian friends? Why?

It would be identity, purpose, and grace. Our identity is in Christ and our purpose is living for Him. Yet, we sin daily and His grace covers our sin. I think the aspect of grace helps non-believers to live not striving but living in God’s abundant grace no matter the trials in life.

This aspect of this worldview that would be most compelling to my non-Christian friends would be that there is a hope in what comes after physical death. There is a promise that all things will be made new– hope that evil and pain will cease forever.

I think that the distinctive that would be the most compelling to my non-Christian friends would be the idea that we were made with intentionality and purpose, and that we have the opportunity to spend eternity in community with God. We were designed and created by a God who loves us and cares for us more than we could ever imagine, and we have the opportunity to accept his grace and forgiveness here on earth and spend forever praising and worshipping Him in heaven. That truly is such a gift, and I think that is what would be the most compelling to my non-christian friends.

I believe there are 3 main and distinctive aspects of the Christian worldview that are most attractive: Identity, Purpose, and Grace.
Identity because it answers the fundemental questions of “who am I ?” and “Why am I here?”. Although other worldviews give some explanation for this, the Christian worldview is both beautiful and awe-inspiring.
Purpose because it answers “What am I supposed to do?” and “Where do I belong?”. Other religions and worldviews also have an answer for this, but the Christian worldview invites us to join God’s mission.
The final distinction is grace. Grace is THE MOST compelling because it is unique only to the Christian faith/worldview. Every religion on earth requires work to achieve something (Isalm=uphold pillars to get to heaven, Judaism= uphold law, Hinduism= walk spiritual path to be reincarnated, buddhism= completely detach to achieve nirvana, etc…) Whereas Grace is solely offered by God and God alone. He initiates the love relationship and invites us to follow Him. Grace is what seperates Christianity from every other worldview.
