Where are source of meaning comes from. That Christ redeems us and gives it to us. That is so countercultural to what we see around us.

In the athletic world, the ideas of meaning, purpose and identity come up a lot. At some point, all athletes or coaches journey either reaches a completion of the goal or it doesn’t go as planned. They either leave fulfilled for a very short time or feel completely lost. In either space, they will be asking questions about why they are really here and who they are.

I think the Bible and reality to be the most compelling because many people can see nature, weather, and the idea of good and evil. Most people who live in the USA and Europe can see first hand how beautiful the world can be without human interference. Most non-Christians would not recognize God the Father but if they met head-on with trouble, they would change their minds very quickly.

The view of right and wrong, I think its pretty simple the Bible portrays itself as institutional wisdom for us. One thing I always said was B.I.B.L.E Basic Instructions before Leaving Earth.

The distinctive I believe that would be most appealing to my non-Christian friends is the Bible and Ethics. The fact that they know “right from wrong” is something we can agree on in most cases. This agreement transitions the conversation from being about right or wrong to what makes a certain situation right or wrong. This will force the conversation back to the principals, leading to research that will ultimately lead us to the Bible.
