We learn that each book has a historical setting. A cultural setting is crucial to the accurate interpretation of a bible passage. In micro-observation we have to note the specific genre or genres of any passage we study.

In terms of culture, language, and history, we are very far removed from the events that took place in the Bible. Without taking time to understand the world as it was when the Bible was written, we cannot fully understand it, and are at risk of interpreting it incorrectly.

The application of these methods in our study will help us to get an understanding of the details, that will be very important to contextualize and later get the right interpretation of what we are studying.
