In briefly considering Saul and Solomon, what spiritual hazards should we avoid?

Deleted User02/23/2024 at 17:13When we rely on ourselves and the lusts of these world, we lose relationship with God. Inviting other religions, ambitions, pagans etc can knock us off course and we lose sight.

Deleted User02/19/2024 at 20:33When I consider Saul and Solomon, I see two men who knew God, yet continually desired personal desires and whims instead of serving. I also must remember that I am susceptible to pursuing my own desires. All it would take is to take my eyes off of God, and place them on myself, my condition, or my will. They fell into pagan worship because they were prideful and loved the pleasure of power.

Deleted User02/18/2024 at 16:59Both Saul and Solomon attempted to follow God but fell short when they followed their own desires. Their vanity regarding self, wealth, women, etc., turned their hearts from serving the Lord to serving themselves.
