We need to avoid outside influences that can be stumbling blocks for living totally for God’s Will on our lives. And it seems both of them had ambition and pride issues, as many of us struggle with today. In fully trusting to follow Jesus’ call on our lives, pride must be put behind us.

Saul was so jealous of David that he failed to serve God well. We should avoid comparing ourselves to others because it will always lead to either pride or jealousy.
