Saul was full of Himself. He has a lot of insecurities while Solomon is weak with women. He became complacent with His relationship with God and was drawn to His own lust and pleasure. We should always focused our eyes to God the giver and not the gift that we received from Him. Most of the time when became complacent and indulge ourselves with worldly pleasure we tend to fall out of love with God which is our first love

We need to avoid serving our own desires and instead of heeding prophets that bring the word of the Lord, concocting our own ideas and fallacies of what we think pleases God. Also avoiding sexual sin, that invites other gods and religious beliefs that defile the word of God
