In briefly considering Saul and Solomon, what spiritual hazards should we avoid?

Sometimes when we get to powerful we tend to let pride get in our way and forget God. Both Saul and Solomon had this problem.
It seemed that Soloman started out good but let pride get in the way. -
Leadership without accountability is a dangerous place to be. Not walking with the Lord and with others can cause of misguidance, lack of trust, jealously, and abuse of power.

Complacency in our faith. Don’t get caught up living life assuming it’s what God wants. I believe had Saul and Solomon consistently spoke with God they wouldn’t have made the mistakes they did.

It is important to obey God completely. We can’t obey part way and expect good results.

Trusting in ourselves comes to mind.
