Not Obeying God, It’s his will not ours. Doing our own thing.

Getting to the place in your journey when you become too prideful and evey reach a place where you don’t have to honor and Obey God.

Saul did what he thought was right and ended up consumed by envy, hatred and anger. Solomon married women from other nations for political gain and was consumed by his wealth, position and power. Remaining humble before God and in prayer helps keep me following Him.

Don’t turn away from God, don’t decide you know better than God.

Looking at these two kings they both disappointed God. King Saul was afraid of the people and he didn’t follow God’s command whole heartily he did what he thought would please God didn’t . I need to follow God’s command whole heartily and not lean on my own understanding. Don’t fear people do what God expects of me, keep Him in view and don’t look to the right or the left just look to God.
King Solomon let his position wisdom and wealth went to his head. He lived in luxury, he didn’t plan for the future, he had many wives and concubines that turned his heart away from God. When God corrected him, he didn’t listen but continued doing what he was doing. I shouldn’t let position, smarts, wealth, sexual lust’s take me away form doing God’s Will. When He corrects me I need to repent and humble myself and turn from doing what is evil in God’s sight and stay close to Him.
