We should avoid greed, jealousy and being wasteful with resources.

In seeing these two men’s stories we should avoid leading people because of our physical stature and we should be be always following GOd’s commands.

Trust in God and the promises he makes and not lose him from our sights

We should avoid spiritual complacency and walk with God. Obey God’s commandments and teach our children to follow by observing His commandments. As in the words of Joshua, we will serve the Lord always.

Trust in the Lord and use the gifts wisely and cling to God before taking any actions. King Saul started his kingdom well but trapped in his selfishness and decision to kill his son-in-law, David. King Solomon also started great and known as wise king of the world. He also fell in the trap of selfishness, pleasure and marrying women who worshipped idols. Both kings failed miserably and died in their sins.
